My path following Jesus began in a strict, religious home and has since grown to a personal, freeing relationship.
No matter what you believe or what faith you may resonate with at this stage in your spiritual journey, most can agree that Jesus is an enlightened master, loved and hated by many. Eyewitness accounts confirm the miracles he performed and historians confirm his crucifixion. The book of John confirms that all was created through him and he is one with the Creator.
While it may be difficult to separate the two:
Jesus and religion aren't the same thing—and this may likely be why when people leave religion they still feel a longing in their hearts for a deep spiritual connection. They begin seeking elsewhere away from Jesus, when really the answer IS Jesus, with or without man-made religion.
